Title: Eat Cheap Eat Healthy The cover is very colorful. The background is light shade of turquoise blue and there is a huge picture in the center of the page of Pork Tacos with summer salsa, which can be found on page 70. The title is in bold letters "Eat Cheap" which is black and "Eat Healthy" is a little bit smaller font and is is in white. On the top right corner there is an orange box that say diabetic living. On the left hand side there is a heading that says, "so easy" and this is in white in a cursive font. Title: Fall Recipes Taste the Season The cover has a large picture with a plate of food on it. It is of Beef Short Ribs and this heading is right under the picture with an arrow pointing to the food. The background of the cover is supposed to represent a wooden table. The title " Fall Recipes" is in bold orange and then there is a smaller heading after the title which says, " Taste the Season," which is in white and is a slightly smaller size then the first one. In a big orange box on the left side it clearly states there there will be 231 recipes in the magazine and that they will be easy to make. Also, on the left side there are several other headings. Title: 100 Healthiest foods The cover has the title in a huge font. It has Jennifer Aniston on the left-hand corner and then shows different kinds of healthy food in the background. There are other headings which are the articles included in the magazine. The table of contents in on the 1st page. Then it has the word "contents" which in on the top and is in big letters with red and white as the color. On the side there are three pictures: chickpeas, dark chocolate, and a celebrity. The rest of the page is sectioned into food categories, for example, fantastic fruits, power veggies, recipes, etc. the titles of these headings are colorful. The second page has an article called " 100 super foods to heal and nourish." The third page is a huge picture of the same woman that was from the article on the second page. This is most likely her advertisement to share her story. On page 4 there is a recipe called "Joy Bauer's Roasted Broccoli-Artichoke Dip....

Title: Food Network Magazine: Your Thanksgiving Handbook The cover has a huge turkey on the front to represent the main dish in a Thanksgiving meal. There is writing on to right side which gives headlines on what can be found in the magazine. The background is a cool tone blue and the title is in big letters which says, "Your Thanksgiving Handbook." It states on the top right corer that there are 136 recipes in this magazine as well which adds a little more information to the cover. There are all kind of recipes, for example, on Jamaican Style Jerk Rice and Sausage (pg.1) and an Italian herb and garlic hearty autumn salad on (pg.1).  On page 5 it states where you can find the Thanksgiving section which is in page 95 and then the whole page is covered with a plate of food which is the Thanksgiving meal. Title: Cooking Light  The cover of the magazine is a dark blue jean material and has two plates of food. There is bold white writing on each side of the magazine describing healthy meals and the pages the recipes can be found. The title is in a large red font to catch your eye. There are some articles that are about tips and tricks of how to use a certain food, such as, "3 Ways to use Turnips" (pg.36). A lot of the articles in this magazine are recipes, for example, chicken and mushroom stew (pg.6), creamy sausage rigatoni (pg.14), and roasted butternut squash and poblano pizza (pg. 19). There are a lot of ads about food.There was a lunchable ad (pg.11) and an add about a chef cooking healthy food in Maui (pg.1). Also, special K cereal (pg.31). Most of the food ads were ingredients  that  could  be used in recipes .  Not every add was about food though. There was a makeup ad on L'Oreal Paris wrinkle cream (pg....

After contemplating which project would be best for me, I have decided to do the magazine project. My idea is to make a magazine on healthy eating. I would create my own recipes or find some on the internet and make them myself. I would also have my mom  help me so I can take pictures of her making the recipes. I believe this would suit me the best because of my skills. I am hardworking and creative and have a passion for eating healthy. I enjoy taking pictures and can have a good eye when it comes to taking pictures. My creativity will help me when creating this magazine as well. I have a great work ethic so I know I would be able to create this content to the best of my ability. I would be working by myself on the project, but my mom will be the only other person actually participating in it. I believe it is easier to work alone rather than in a group because I don't have to count on anyone and I can have  a set schedule when I want everything to be done.

I find film very fascinating and fun to watch. I've started to notice all the editing and filming techniques in movies. Based off the movies I have seen in class, I think it would be a fun project. All the films were well made, I especially loved the Ferris Bueller film. John Hughes was a very creative and hardworking person and his film was unique because Ferris was talking to the audience, but he made it work. He has inspired me to create a film myself. The skills I possess are my creativity and directing skills. I believe that I would be able to successfully direct the beginning of a film. I'm a hard worker and having good planning skills, so I would my dedication into making this film.  A challenge would be the editing process, but I just need to learn more about editing techniques. Also, a film can be very time consuming. I would have to plan it into my schedule which might be a little difficult. Another challenge is that I would need to find actors and right now I don...

There are several aspects of print jounalism that interest me, one that really stood out is the high AD recall. There are ADs everywhere in magazines, which I always found interesting. Not only does the magazine staisfy the customer, but it helps other businesses as well. Also, newspapers have been one of the best forms of entertainment in the media business, cosumption of the media has always been strong. The skills that I possess would be taking pictures and my creativity. I've always had a good eye for photos. After learning about all the angles and camera shots, I believe this has provided me with a better set of skills. A challenge for me would be editing a magazine because I'm not exactly sure about the format of the magazine yet; however, I know I would devote my time to make the magazine the best I can possibly make it.
