Feedback and Revision

I got a lot of feedback on my magazine. On my cover page I was told that I should put the writing on the left side into columns and that I should adjust the fonts and sizes of the writing. I should also jazz up my title to make my magazine look fancier. I was given an idea of how to vary my photos, such as my cover photo specifically. I was given an idea to go to Walt'd fish market and take a location picture there and maybe have one of the workers hold up a fish. Another cover idea could be to have a picture of my mom smiling in front of a cooked meal. In my table of contents I was told to jazz up the font as well and vary the types of pictures. I shouldn't just have pictures of food on the plate and I should have different shots and angles of my photos. On my recipe pages I was told to add more pictures and different types of pictures as well. I also need to add page numbers and branding. I will uses all this feedback and fix my magazine to the best of my ability. I think the cover photo idea is a great idea and I will add more pictures and a variety of them as well. I will also fix all the other little details to make my magazine the best it could be. I also want to fill up any unnecessary space and I need to put the page numbers under each picture on my table of contents of where each recipe can be found.

Project Selection- Film

I find film very fascinating and fun to watch. I've started to notice all the editing and filming techniques in movies. Based off the movies I have seen in class, I think it would be a fun project. All the films were well made, I especially loved the Ferris Bueller film. John Hughes was a very creative and hardworking person and his film was unique because Ferris was talking to the audience, but he made it work. He has inspired me to create a film myself. The skills I possess are my creativity and directing skills. I believe that I would be able to successfully direct the beginning of a film. I'm a hard worker and having good planning skills, so I would my dedication into making this film.  A challenge would be the editing process, but I just need to learn more about editing techniques. How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues? My magazine follows many of the same conventions that the other food magazines have. My magazine or any magazine uses conventions to persuade the customer into buying it. Cover: My cover states the most delicious and interesting things, and mentions the amount of recipes that there will be in the magazine. There are Buzzwords on the front cover that will tell the buyer some of the interesting articles that can be found in the magazine. They are free and exclusive and for my target audience and this is used well to attract them.The main image represents the idea of my magazine which is healthy eating.
